    Okay, the below topic was dredged up from my own dead forum and was created about half a year ago, as such I'll be making changes here and there, but for the time being, do please register your interest below. Okay, I've began making the first few edits.


    So in this RP we will have from 3 to anything up to about say 10: I'll cap it off there. You can choose pretty much any kind of hero you like, as long as they are all equal in power at the beginning.

    Setting: D&D inspired Old Fantasy

    Plot: The town of Arglazia has been putting out notices and flyers asking for a hero to clear out it's sewers, which of late have been teeming with all manner of creatures. The mayor wants something to be done before they spill out onto the streets. The notices attract the attention of many heroes and they are hired to investigate. However, the mayor hands the operation over to his grouchy assistant who has secretly been breeding these creatures in the sewers. The assistant is a self-taught mage who wishes the town of Arglazia ill-will. He does his job in getting the heroes into the sewers, but he sends them in at different entrances and does not tell them that there are other heroes in the tunnels. His hopes being that they either are slain by the creatures or slay each other.

    Skills:
    Shield Bash - A low damage attack that leaves the enemy stunned to be attacked again straight-away. One use per day. (Shield must be equipped)

    Cloth Suit: 2 Def

    Skills:
    Strike Weak Point: The grappler strikes a weak point on the enemy's body for massive damage. +5 Atk for this blow. One use per day.

    -Mexican Wrestler Modification-

    Starting equipment:
    Cloth Pants: 1 Def
    Leather Mask: 2 Def

    Equipment Total: 0 Atk, 3 Def


    Skills:
    Can't be Grappled: Passive. This class cannot be effected by any attack which grapples or restricts, such as enemy vines, tentacles, etc.

    -Reaper Class Rules-

    Starting equipment:
    Iron Scythe: 6 Atk
    Leather Long Coat: 3 Def

    Equipment Total: 6 Atk, 3 Def

    Skills:
    Reap - Perform an attack that reaps straight through enemy armor ignoring any defense bonus.
    You will be unable to achieve a critical hit with this move. One use per day.

    -Rogue Class Rules-

    Iron Dagger (offhand): 2 Atk (offhand attack is halved, however)

    Pickpocket: You may attempt to pickpocket a person or creature. If the creature has no bags or equipment, the pickpocket will fail. The Rogue may choose an item that is visible to try and steal or go at random for the contents of a bag. One use per day.

    Attributes: Dumb Stuff: -2 on Int rolls.

    -Undead Race Rules-

    HP: 30

    Attributes: Dumb Stuff: -2 to Int rolls.
                Undead: Weak vs Healing and Holy, Strong vs Dark.

    Extra Rules:

    Characters under the age of 18 gain these attributes:
    Naivety: Your character is inexperienced and wreckless, they are more likely to be ambushed.
    Scamp: Small and swift, you have a slight bonus to dodge attacks.

    Characters over the age of 60 gain these attributes:
    Elderly: Your character isn't as nimble or strong as they used to be. -1 to Agi, Str, Dex and Max HP
    Experienced: Your character knows the ways of the adventurer well. +3 to all Int rolls.

    Please note, characters considered immortal, such as undead and constructs, recieve no age bonus or penalty.

    Critical Hits: Str + [Weapon Atk*2]

    Normal Attacks: [Str + Weapon Atk + 1D6]/4

    D6 roll: on 6 = Critical Hit.

    Only players get critical hits.

    Str will be used to determine attack power.
    It will also be used for rolls which are decided by strength.

    Agi will be used as initiative to decide who is the first to attack.
    It will also be used for rolls which are decided by agility.

    Dex will be used for rolls which are decided by dexterity.
    It will also be used for calculating accuracy.

    Int will be used to determine spell damage and effectiveness.
    It will be used for rolls which are decided by intelligence.

    [Dex/4] + D6 = Accuracy. 5 or more = Hit

    Agi+1D6: Initiative. Highest goes first.

    Shield Bash - A low damage attack that leaves the enemy stunned to be attacked again straight-away. One use per day. (Shield must be equipped) Does Atk/2 damage and stuns the enemy, allowing you a second attack straight-away in the same turn. Shield bash criticals have the usual bonus, plus the attack does normal damage instead of half.

    Berserk Rage - Increases Atk by 5 for one day, but negates all of own defenses. One use per day.
          Add 5 to all attacks for the day.

    Basic Heal - Increases anyone's HP by 10. Useable once per day. (Can be used to damage undead.)
          Counts as a 10 strength weapon vs undead, still one use, no critical.

    Strike Weak Point: The grappler strikes a weak point on the enemy's body for massive damage. +5 attack for this blow. One use per day.

    Fireball: A basic magic attack, deals low fire damage. Two uses per day. Fireball does 2 base fire damage + (Int+1D6/4) Magic criticals have different effects based on element, fire damage criticals set the target alight, causing an automatic 2 damage to the target every battle turn.

    Naivety: Your character is inexperienced and wreckless, they are more likely to be ambushed.
          When an enemy attempts an ambush type attack: +1 to their roll.

    Scamp: Small and swift, you have a slight bonus to dodge attacks.
          If an enemy rolls a hit, another 1d6 is rolled, on a roll of 6, the attack is dodged.

    Elderly: Your character isn't as nimble or strong as they used to be. -1 to Agi, Str, Dex and Max HP

    Experienced: Your character knows the ways of the adventurer well. +3 to all Int rolls.

    Short Stuff: You are short and stocky, giving you a -2 on Dexterity rolls.
          This doesn't apply to children, unless they're dwarf children.

    Agility Bonus: You are naturally very agile and get one re-roll on failed Agi rolls.

    Winged Creature: Your race possesses wings, giving you a +2 on dexterity rolls.
          You are also able to reach areas that ordinary creatures cannot.

    Demon: Holy attacks hit you with 150% effectiveness, dark attacks with 75%.

    Dumb Stuff: Intelligence is not your forte, you suffer -2 on Int rolls.

    Undead: Holy attacks hit you with 150% effectiveness, dark attacks with 75%. Healing magic will actually harm you.

    Name: (this can be pretty much anything, but nothing too silly or with numbers etc in it. If you are a construct or from a lineage put roman numerals. e.g. Robozord VI or Charles III)

    Gender: (Not a hard question.)

    Race (Human, Elf, Orc, Dwarf, Undead, Magical Imp)
    You may suggest a new race and describe it's features and I will tell you if approved or not. Magical Imp was user suggested and is now approved for use.

    Class (fighter, mage, rogue or cleric.)
    Possibly more to come, but for now, stick to these.

    Assign Character stat points. You have 40 points to share among your stats, remember this!

    Details: (Shove all of your extra details about your character here, backstory, personality etc)

    He is not your common rotting undead,He is sown together,reanimated and kept in the same condition.

    He has long raggy black hair, stitches covering his entire body where the different parts are sown together. Unlike most undead his parts all fit mostly together in size, to give him as human an appearance as possible. His different body parts vary slightly in skin tones though and his arms and legs are slightly longer than should be. He also has a mouthful of razor teeth.

    This man has no name and knows not of his age. He suffers from amnesia.

    His last fading memory is of his parents' brutal murder, when he was only 7 years old, by persons unknown. After taking away his mother and father, the murderer turned towards the helpless child and held him down. A sharp blade ran across his face, down both eyes.

    The murderer let the child live, he would not be the next victim. Instead he would be spared in an effort to evoke a madness one can only achieve by losing everything they held dear. The murderer pleaded with the now disfigured child to come for him one day. The murderer wanted the child to avenge him for his actions.

    It's quite unfortunate then that the child, now a grown man, does not remember much of the events that took place that day. He's spent the majority of his grown life searching for the man who took it all away.

    Over the years, the scars that formed healed in a way that gave the impression of a common farmer's scarecrow, so the man chose to use this moniker as his name. He is mentally disturbed, and is excellent at keeping himself hidden from the world. He does not exist... in history or in memory.

    Details:
    Lucius was born a noble, and trained in the ways of the court. He also had an ambitious streak that drove him to poisoning his father, and taking the title of Baron at an early age. For many years he managed his lands with a cruel efficiency, earning a fortune off high taxes and semi-legit trade. He finally used this wealth to stage a rebellion, and succeeded in overthrowing the royalty. Taking the throne however, he found that his scheming had earned him many enemies in court. The people had no love for a despot either. Lucius was exiled, bitter and vengeful. Now he seeks a new fortune and a mercenary army, to go back and reclaim his hard-earned seat as ruler.


    So, this will be a forum RP and I will be working out how we're actually gonna carry this out over the next little while, all suggestions welcome.

    Pretty sure I know how you want character creation done (we using a dedicated system? I take it no.), but what's the plot of the adventure? What'd be a good reason for my character to be there, and what're they doing?

    Yeah, I had the plot, just neglected to put it up. It's up there now.
    Basically the system will be a very simplified D&D kind of thing, but I wanted to create something that was more like an interactive story than a game.

    Because those first two are loli mages, and the only logical thing to do as a teammate was be a shota barbarian.

    Oh yeah, also, Scarecrow and Dio, your character sheets are rejected. Scarecrow, I need more information, Dio, I need stats, please read the OP again.
    In fact, everyone could do to revise their sheets a bit.
    I will make rules penalizing impossible mary/gary sue characters: this includes anyone under the age of around 16.

    Good point, I'll bump up the shield.
    As for the loincloth, not sure. I based cloth as superficial and barely armour, but anything leather was around 2+ armour... I'll have a think.
