Watched Spinal Tap last night, The Bank Job this evening.

Spinal Tap was enjoyed so much I found myself talking to myself in the same style as the band. May have to do a feature on the podcast if the feeling's still hanging about.

The Bank Job was a pretty interesting story about some small time criminals robbing a bank and getting caught up in a big Government/MI5 cover up job. Jason Statham is awesome as usual.

Not rating them today because I can't be bothered...oh, and 'mon the multi-posting! Seems I live here and the music forums...

Just finished watching Brothers with Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal. Not often a movie will have me emotionally involved but at points in this movie I was totally absorbed in what was going on. Maguire's face is really distracting but other than that one of the best movies I've seen in a while. It even made me put on my sad songs list. 8.5-9/10

A few others I've seen in the past few weeks...

I, Robot - surprised I liked this. Will Smith is awesome as always. Pity it had Shia LeBouf in it...

War - Terrible movie...got it purely because of Statham and Li. They were wasted in a shit plot, and just utter gab film.

Blazing Saddles - an old one I decided to rewatch because it's damn good. Mongo punching horses.

Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey - too cool. Death is just rockin'. Back when Keanu Reeves was cool. A proper classic.

Watched Nowhere Boy last night, movie about John Lennon's young years taking from his beginnings to the start of The Quarrymen recording and becoming slightly more famous. I enjoyed the movie, really good story with some awesome music :)

Been to the cinema 3 times in 3 weeks. Scary stuff :O

RED - pretty fun action movie about old people kicking ass. Willis was pretty good, as was John Malkovich 7/10

Burke and Hare - black comedy with pretty much all the cast from Spaced and some famous cameos. Some really funny lines and a good story. Terrible accents though... 8.5/10

Jackass 3D - I'm a huge Jackass fan, some stupidly funny bits but a few duds as per usual. Dave England is still a pussy, Danger Erehn has gone up in my books. 3D relatively pointless as usual 7.5/10

    And on the LoveFilm front...

El Mariachi - pretty cool film made on a tiny budget. Lots of little continuity errors but it adds to the charm of it.

The Men Who Stare at Goats - decent enough film but didn't really do anything for me.

The Transporter - I'd heard good things about it and it's got Jason Statham in it. Not the best movie in the world but it did the job.

The Departed - now this was a good movie. Di Caprio vs Damon. Plus Mark Wahlberg kicked ass.

Defendor - not a bad movie per se but without Woody Harrelson it'd probably suck balls. Shows what a good actor can do with a meh plot

Right, I've decided to quit LoveFilm as I can't think of many more movies to get a-renting. Here's the last 5ish I rented

Karate Kid - the remake with Chan and Smith. Pretty cool movie and "it wasn't even karate" isn't a valid argument against the movie. You've missed the point. Chan's the man. Plus the shit song at the end has a really cool line in it involving Jayden saying he was "raised by the power of will". Made me chuckle at least.

My Neighbour Totoro - The nicest movie I've seen in years. Loved it. One of the best kids movies ever I say. Despite not writing a lot on it, I was big on this one.

Exit Through the Gift Shop - A Banksy movie, about a French guy who filmed literally everything he could and his story through to him becoming a street artist himself. Really interesting and the French guy is a dick :)

Four Lions - Jihad satire. A really funny, but touching movie about a group of Muslim extremists and their plans to reach paradise. Much praise to Chris Morris for dealing with quite a tough subject in a funny, and very human way.

Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva - Pretty much bollocks, another kids movie but felt like a non-starter to me. The soundtrack (in true Layton style) was pretty cool though.

A few of these are in the podcast but I like to have things written down, plus it gives me an excuse to post as the Touhou board holds no interest for me :P

You watched the Star Wars holiday special? The whole thing? I could barely stomach the Nostalgia critic's abridged version. Did you think it was going to get better after the first hour? Did you do it for some demented nerd cred?

Why would I do it to get credit from nerds? They're nerds! :P

Me and a mate have a wee thing about watching shit movies and obviously that one came up so...yeah, it got watched. Not the same without a drinking game but hey, wouldn't most things?

For some reason I forgot that bad movies and liquor go hand in hand. Carry on.

Still, it's not even the funny campy badness.

    O RLY?

The voices of John Hurt and Sean Pertwee, eh?
    Still not gettin' it.

If someone were to put up a torrent of this on here however...

Saw 127 Hours at the cinema yesterday.

Awesome film, really well done - James Franco was insane. Pretty graphic when it comes to the main bit of the film but it makes it that much more powerful.

I don't think anyone can argue suckerpunch was written by a bunch of weeaboos though.
As such I imagine it's going to fall into the area of 'Scott Pilgrim' style of movie.
