    Phrases and/or Sayings

Post  mcmicken on Wed Jan 21, 2009 2:27 pm

EDIT: Just a little collection of things that you or people around you say that either amuse you or are almost catchphrases. A translation would also be nice if required.

Some of my current favourites are:

"Stuff that for a game of soldiers!" - something one of our lecturers says which pretty much means, "stuff that". Funny in a south Laaaahndaaahn accent.

"Cunt Punt" - self explanatory, the word punt is probably one of the most blunt but brutal words in the English language

"2 in the poo" - literally: 2 fingers up the ass. I use it for when someone's done something stupid eg. "Man, I've 2 in the poo'd myself there!"

"5 in the poo" - literally: fisting. I use it for when someone's done something beyong stupid, usually after having 2-in-the-poo'd themself.

    My catchphrases?

'I am Strongest' - A nice little line I use to remind those around me that my power is maximum.
"Maggots!" - Because nothing announces displeasure like corpse eating larvae.

    I'll remember more later...

"xxx is a pretty cool guy" - one of the only memes I've actually latched onto.

"There is no love in this club/I'm not feeling the love" - 1.the place is dead, never used in clubs funnily enough. 2.someone's not text me back

"for flyffs sake." - My modified version of "for gods sake", ideal for atheists.

Just started using "Why I oughta..." while shaking my fist. I like.

Also "It's good to have land" - pretty much anytime I'm in a good situation (aka in pub on sofa, attractive young ladies flanking me Cool There was DEFINETLY love in that club!)

I have a bad habit of saying "as I say" when I hadn't even mentioned the subject I start talking about afterwards.

Every so often I'll come out with

"Feel da riddim, feel da rhyme" to which someone should reply "get on up it's bobsleigh time!" with culminates in both parties shouting "COOL RUNNIN'S!!!" - quote from Cool Runnings, awesome movie. Watch it.

"Ay aye" - happens a lot. Pronounced A I. Pretty much can mean anything, but more often than not it's used when talent is spotted or when a suggestive comment is made. Can also be used in place of a sigh.
